Office Assistant at Highland Presbyterian Church

The Office Assistant shall provide clerical support to the two Associate Pastors and the Administrative Assistant. Part-Time, Non-Exempt 20 to 24 hours per week. Pay range $10 to $15 per hour. Background checks are required.


Minimum Qualifications: Applicants be trustworthy, a team player, with excellent communications skills, demonstrate good judgment, typing and proof reading skills and have experience with social media. Additionally the successful applicant must be able and willing to interact on confidential matters with church personnel, members of the congregation and visitors in a positive and gracious manner.


Major duties include but are not limited to:
1. Act as a receptionist for HPC, answer phones and greet visitors to the church as needed.
2. Provide support to the Administrative Assistant, handle reservations, maintain church calendars, and data base entry as needed.
3. Maintain church website; add/change information and announcements as needed; post weekly sermons, collect and format weekly bulletin announcements.
4. Provide administrative assistance to the pastoral staff, and perform all other duties as assigned.
