CHILDREN’S MUSIC MINISTRY holds weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Join us in one of three choirs:

  • Lyric Choir; grades 3 to 5 with Amanda Boyd, Director.
  • Hallelujah Choir; grades 1 & 2 with Martha Makela, Director.
  • Joyful Noise; age 4 (as of Aug. 1) through Kindergarten with Suzanne Bowman, Director.

THE CHILDREN’S MUSIC MINISTRY has an exciting month ahead! Each week, we work with our many instruments in addition to singing. On Wednesday, September 20th, all choirs will combine for a Drum Circle! If you have not participated in a drum circle, each person is given a percussion instrument that he or she plays. We will have nearly 40 children playing and improvising on instruments to make beautiful music together. In our Drum Circle, there will be a “leader” who guides participants in playing rhythms together and improvising individual rhythms. To an outside observer, this activity may look like loud and crazy chaos; but to our children, it is a time of musical exploration and creative expression! You won’t want to miss it! Also, be sure to join us for worship at 11:00 on Sept. 24 for our Music Festival worship service! All children’s choirs will participate! Contact Amanda Boyd with any questions!
