Cynthia Campbell joined the Highland Church staff on September 1, 2011 as Interim Pastor/Head of Staff and was installed as Pastor/Head of Staff on January 13, 2013. A native of Pasadena, California, Cynthia began her ministry in Texas and served in three congregations before completing her Ph. D. She joined the faculty of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1981 where she taught theology and ministry and directed the Doctor of Ministry Program. In 1988, she was called to the First Presbyterian Church of Salina, Kansas, as Pastor/Head of Staff, one of the first women to serve a congregation of over 1,000 members as pastor. In 1995, she was named President of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago (one of the ten seminaries of the Presbyterian Church). When she retired in June, her dream was to return to congregational ministry and is delighted to have been invited to Highland. She is the author of A Multitude of Blessings: A Christian Approach to Religious Diversity(2007) and God’s Abundant Table (2011). Cynthia is married to Fred Holper, who recently retired from teaching preaching and worship at McCormick Seminary. They have two adult children who live in Milwaukee and are also the proud human companions of Shadow the cat.
Reverend Doodle Harris

Doodle was called by the congregation of Highland Presbyterian Church on September 21, 2008, and ordained and installed on December 7, 2008. She is a native of Moultrie, Georgia and a life-long Presbyterian. Doodle holds a B.A. from Presbyterian College, a Masters in Music Theory from the University of South Carolina, and a M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She has a lot of experience in youth ministry and a great passion for it!
In searching for where God was calling her to serve, Doodle wrote: “I would like to serve in a church where people worship God with their head and hearts. This church would believe that the core of ministry is relationships with God, among members, and with others seeking to bring hope and justice to the world.”
In her spare time, Doodle enjoys a variety of activities including watching baseball games, trying new foods, traveling, playing with her cats, and reading. She has been to Disney World 17 times!!!

Megan joined the staff of Highland Presbyterian Church on January 2nd, 2018. She graduated from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with dual master’s degrees in ministry and therapy (she holds both an M.Div. as well as a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy.) Originally from Texas, she holds a B.A. in art and anthropology from Austin College in Sherman, TX. Following college, she served as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) in Miami working with Haitian and Central American immigrants and refugees. While the YAV program is only one year long, she ended up staying five years in Florida discerning a call to ministry and mission before moving to Louisville for seminary. Megan is also seeking licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy and works part time at Creative Family Counseling. She and her spouse Shannon have one daughter, Lily, who enjoys rolling around the back of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Megan enjoys doing anything outdoors and loves fall weather in Kentucky!
Reverend Charles Brockwell

Charles is a minister in both the United Methodist and Presbyterian Church (USA) denominations.
After teaching at University of Louisville and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary a combined total of 28 years, he served as pastor of the Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church. He has also served churches in Mid-Kentucky Presbytery. He is currently a member of the Commission on Preparation for Ministry of the presbytery. Charles will assist the staff in hospital, nursing home and in-home visitation.

Carlo Vincetti (Vini) Frizzo joined us as our Director of Music Ministries in August of 2019. He graduated with a doctorate in choral conducting and composition from Indiana University. He holds a BA in keyboard studies and French from Murray State University and a Master of Music in composition from Louisiana State University. Prior to beginning doctoral studies, he taught music theory and composition at Sam Houston State University. He has served as music director for the past five years at First United Church in Bloomington, Indiana, where he conducted the adult choir and hand bell choir. During his doctoral studies he has conducted various ensembles including chamber works, operas, symphonies, and a cappella groups. He has also won several awards in composition including the American Prize in Composition for Light/Pop music.
