Christmas Pageant

The Children’s Christmas Pageant and Family Worship Service is Sunday, December 17th at 3:00 p.m.! All children 3-years-old – 5th grade are invited to participate! Rehearsals for those with speaking parts (Kindergarten and older) will begin Nov. 26th in Sunday School and continue Dec. 3rd and 10th in Sunday School. Please be present for all classes if you want a speaking part! Dress rehearsal is Saturday, Dec. 17th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. More details about the rehearsal schedule will be available later in November.

HCM Thanksgiving Baskets

COLLECTING FOOD FOR HCM THANKSGIVING BASKETS – These baskets support 40+ neighborhood families through Highlands Community Ministries to prepare a Thanksgiving meal and provide staples for the pantry. Please food in the blue mission bins, the mission closet, or provide a financial donation to supply $25 gift cards to purchase a turkey. Make checks out to HPC with “Thanksgiving Basket” in the memo and put in offering plate or send to the church office. Shopping lists are available at the Welcome Center. Please drop off food by November 17th. YOUTH AUCTION

YOUTH AUCTION – The youth are once again having a silent auction on November 12th to raise funds for their summer trips, and we would love for congregation members to contribute to the auction! If you have any artwork, gift cards, themed baskets, event tickets, etc. that you are willing to donate, please contact Megan Ward at wardomom@gmail.com or 502-240-8606.  Please mark your calendars to shop that morning before or after church! Folks can drop items at the church office or to Doodle labeled for auction.

Empty Bowls Fundraiser for Highland Community Ministries

EMPTY BOWLS FUNDRAISER FOR HCM – Highland Community Ministries will host the 21st annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser on Thursday, October 12 from 5:30-8:00pm at Bellarmine University’s Frazier Hall. A silent auction helps raise funds to provide programs that support low-income families in our neighborhood. Tickets are $15 for the meal ($5 for 12 & under) and $35 for a meal & a handcrafted potter’s bowl.  Enjoy soups prepared by local restaurants while supporting HCM’s Dare2Care Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels program, and two senior nutrition outreaches in the Highlands. Tickets are available at the door.  If you could donate a basket or auction item valued between $50 and $75 to support HCM with this event contact the Silent Auction Chair, Anne Louise Montgomery at 551-3702.
