Children’s Music Ministry

Children’s Music Ministry:

“The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children.” –Cherly Lavender

The Children’s Music Ministry strives to engage children in musical expression so they may know God’s love in a meaningful way. All children from age 4 through fifth grade are welcome!

The three groups gather each Wednesday from 5:30-6:15 p.m. See below for age divisions and directors. All ensembles meet on Wednesdays from late-August through late April. The exact rehearsal schedule can be found below.

The children experience music through singing, Christian Education, listening, movement, playing instruments, composing music, and improvisation. The children explore their role as leaders in worship and its importance to their faith journey and the overall ministry of the congregation. We aim for providing an environment in which children are free to express their individual creativity while also working together to make music.
